Position Summary

The Department of Kinesiology in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a Half-Time position as our new First Aid Coordinator beginning September 1, 2017. A Master’s degree in a health, health care, or allied health field, or a related discipline, and collegiate teaching experience are required. Candidates must possess an American Heart Association Instructor certification and have experience teaching both HeartSaver and HealthCare Provider courses. The First Aid Coordinator will teach multiple night sections of KIN 147: First Aid, which includes AHA HeartSaver First Aid/CPR/AED for the Adult, Child and Infant during the 2017-2018 academic year. The faculty member in this role will work with guidance from the North Central College Instructional Design staff to develop a blended, online course that is supplemented by an in-person lab that will include skill practice and assessment. The implementation of the new format will begin in the fall of 2018. Additional administrative responsibilities include coordinating a system of managing the equipment and certification process for all students, as well as overseeing part-time faculty instructors.
