Position Summary

Tenure Track Management position (rank open), Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior. The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track professor of management (rank open) beginning Fall 2018. Teaching responsibilities are at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and may include online or blended coursework. The successful candidate will bring expertise in human resource management and organizational behavior and the ability to develop coursework and potential tracks in the area as well as teach general management courses. This individual will be charged with revising the Human Resources Management major at the undergraduate level and potentially developing a graduate program in this area.

Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management with a focus in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or related area from an AACSB-accredited school is preferred. For associate professor, candidates must have doctorate in hand, plus at least 4 years teaching experience and provide evidence of scholarship. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.

Founded in 1861, North Central College is a selective, comprehensive liberal arts institution of about 3000 students, located 28 miles west of Chicago in Naperville. North Central College, an institution with 42 consecutive years of balanced budgets, is in a period of growth with the addition of a $60 million Science Center opened in March 2017. The School of Business and Entrepreneurship will move in to a newly renovated building with a Bloomberg Finance Lab in Fall 2017. The School is in the process of initial AACSB accreditation. The college is within walking distance of the Naperville Metra station and is next to downtown Naperville.
