Position Summary

The Department of English at North Central College seeks applications for a part-time composition instructor to teach First-Year Writing this fall. ENG 115 introduces students to effective college-level writing and close reading; practice in multimodality including visual, aural, and language-based approaches; and collaborative skills through peer review and group presentations.

An M.A. in English with college-level teaching experience in first-year composition is required. Candidates possessing a Ph.D. are preferred.

Fall Term: section available on Tuesday/ Thursday at 2:00 – 3:50 p.m. and/or Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:00 – 9:50 a.m. The 10-week term begins Monday, September 11, 2017 through Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
