Position Summary

The North Central College School of Business and Entrepreneurship invites applications for an Accreditation Coordinator. The principal role of the Accreditation Coordinator will be to coordinate and assist in the collection of School and departmental data, conduct research on a wide range of curricular and accreditation matters, draft preliminary reports on these issues, and assist the Dean with documentation requirements for AACSB initial accreditation.

This part time position is scheduled to work 20 hours per week; Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 2:00pm. ; schedule is flexible to be discussed during the interview.

Description of Key Responsibilities

1. Support the Dean in evaluating progress on strategic goals including data collection, analysis, reporting, and policy recommendations.

2. Submit required AACSB reports, applications, and surveys, and analyze current operations to identify gaps between operations and accreditation standards for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

3. Collect data and maintain records of institutional effectiveness, assessment and accreditation activities in support of continuous improvement and enhancement of institutional performance and student learning outcomes.

4. Develop and maintain a system of documentation of the institutional effectiveness system and accreditation activities and processes.

5. Coordinate and track all needed actions related to assessment plans for accreditation.

6. Work with offices and departments across campus to obtain necessary data and coordinate efforts to collect the data for accreditation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
2. Ability to conduct research over the internet using limited guidance.
3. Ability to maintain an electronic record system for assessment results, faculty, program, and school records.
4. Strong organizational, multitasking, and workload management skills.
5. Ability to analyze situations and make sound recommendations for process change.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
7. Excellent writing skills and attention to detail required to: review documents for compliance with AACSB standards, write team visit reports, compile information from evaluation visits, and draft letters detailing Accrediting Commission decisions.
8. Must be a well-organized, reliable, enthusiastic individual to review, monitor, and evaluate schools as part of the accreditation process.

Distinguishing Characteristics

The Coordinator must be organized, possess a solid attention to detail, and have strong analytical skills including the ability to manage, organize, and interpret data. They must be able to interpret mathematical data and construct reports, have knowledge of assessment methods, the ability to interpret academic and administrative policies and procedures. Along with strong communication skills, the coordinator must be comfortable working independently and within a team environment and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, producing reports under strict guidelines.

Education/Training

Bachelor’s degree in research and evaluation or related field is required.

Experience

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in institutional/administrative research, educational evaluation or related field required. Experience within an institution of higher education preferred.
